January 2012 – important information for all users of i4Cumbria.co.uk including those who have email accounts

This site has been operational since April 2007 and still receives many thousands of visits every year. Despite constantly reviewing content in the site, some of the information and links are now out of date and we have undertaken a complete review of the i4Cumbria project.

This review means that the i4Cumbria project will be closing down on March 31st 2012.

There are many who use i4Cumbria for their email. If you have an email account, we will be mailing you by Monday 23rd January to make sure all are informed of this decision. This email will come from Nick Kennon, Project Manager for the i4Cumbria web portal. We advise that email users immediately register an alternative webmail account with another provider such as: Hotmail, BTConnect, Googlemail or similar providers. We recognise that some mail users use their email as part of log in processes for online services and it is crucial that you take steps now to ensure continuation of your online services.

May we take this opportunity to thank all of those who have used the i4Cumbria project over the last five years when accessing services, information and advice.

Kindest regards,

Nick Kennon, Project Manager, i4Cumbria.co.uk/Project ASIA
